"One day at camp, we were riding horses on the forest trails. I was leading, and out of nowhere my horse, Brownie, went crazy. She reared up and took off, and wouldn’t respond to my commands. My horse was in the lead, so the others followed — the whole group took off after my sprinting horse and me. Brownie didn’t stop until we got back to camp. When we did, a counselor ran up to us to tell us they were evacuating the camp. Apparently, a man with a gun had escaped from a nearby mental facility and an hour later he was found on our trail! Brownie may have saved our lives."
