Phew! It's been 14 days straight packed with amazing celeb stories that I hardly know where to begin. Two weeks ago, it kicked off with the Bamboozle Festival, where we hung out with bands like The Academy Is..., Gym Class Heroes, The Hush Sound, The CAB, and Cobra Starship. (Click here to check out our exclusive pics.) Then I hopped on a plane to Vancouver to the set of Diablo Cody's new movie Jennifer's Body, and got a peek at some totally cool and creepy scenes... and got super inspired by Diablo's cool spirit and attitude. And then it was back to New York for a United Cerebral Palsy charity luncheon where I sat next to Gossip Girl star Connor Paolo. I also went to The CW's Upfronts presentation where Maroon 5 rocked the party while the casts of Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, 90210, Surviving the Filthy Rich, and America's Next Top Model were milling about. And every day, we had bands and actors dropping by our offices... like Phantom Planet, Metro Station, Summer Glau, Quddus, Ferras, and new 90210 hottie Ryan Eggold.
How do you top all that off? In only a way that Z100 knows how with their annual Zootopia concert. It was the tenth time I'd been to one of their shows, but each time it just seems to be more star-packed than the next.
The moment we got there, we ran into the On3 Productions Gift Lounge suite where we met up with the Danity Kane girls who were so excited about sharing the bill with New Kids on the Block that they did rendition of "Right Stuff" just for us.
Next we followed Simple Plan as they "shopped" around the gift lounge. Drummer Chuck Comeau picked the blonde Bratz doll and joked, "I wish life was like that-I want this one." Bassist David Desrosiers spun The Box Girls Box of Questions' Truth or Dare wheel and revealed his "special" talent of being able to squirt saliva when he yawns. "I'll squirt on the guys sometimes and they hate it!" Um, ew?! We caught lead singer Pierre Bouvier just as he was walking away with a Bose Sound Dock iPod speaker from J&R Music & Computer World. He admitted he's got Britney Spears's new album on his iPod and burst into the verse of "Piece of Me." Guitarist Sebastien Lefebvre scored IZOD Fragrance for Men and as he was signing a shirt for them, referenced the doodles he did for his CosmoGIRL Making Good cap (click here if you haven't seen the video). Guitarist Jeff Stinco was thrilled to be getting a BlackBerry The Next Generation Blackberry Pearl 8120 from T-Mobile because he recently dropped his and it broke-oops! And he loved that it autocorrected his spelling, so no more typos, Jeff! David snuck in and said the whole band uses Blackberry Messengers... hey guys, so do we, so ping us already!
Simple Plan weren't the only ones scoring goodies backstage. Everyone from Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers to the New Kids on the Block and Jesse McCartney also went home with stuffed like Black & Blue Men's Stainless & Diamond Jewelry, Humane Society of US "Club Sandwiches Not Seals" T-shirts, iRobot Roomba, Nyovee Handcrafted Leather Accessories, and tons of stuff from Clean & Clear and Colgate-Palmolive.
